1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the InterpreCourt website (interprecourt.com), our online request form and client portal, the InterpreCourt on-demand interpreter app (the “App”), and our interpreting services (together, the “Services”), provided by InterpreCourt LLC (“InterpreCourt,” “we,” “us”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Services for an organization, you agree on its behalf.

If your organization has a signed contract with InterpreCourt, that contract controls if it conflicts with these Terms.

2. The Services

InterpreCourt provides scheduled and on-demand interpreting by phone, video and in person, plus translation and related language services. The App lets authorized users connect to an available interpreter by audio or video call.

3. Who may use the App

The App is for staff of organizations that have an account with InterpreCourt. You need a Client ID and PIN issued by InterpreCourt or your organization. You agree to:

• Keep your Client ID, PIN and device secure, and not share them outside your organization.
• Use the App’s lock feature on shared devices.
• Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think your access has been misused.

Your organization is responsible for use of its Client ID and PIN.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for anything unlawful, harmful or abusive, or to harass any interpreter or other person.
• Record an interpreted session without the consent of everyone involved and as the law allows.
• Try to copy, reverse engineer, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Services.
• Place calls you do not need, or let people outside your organization use your access.

We may suspend access if these Terms are broken.

5. The role of the interpreter

Interpreters convey what is said, accurately and impartially. They do not give legal, medical or other professional advice, and they do not make decisions for any party. Your organization remains responsible for its own services and decisions.

6. Not for emergencies

The App is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911 first. Interpreter availability can depend on language, time of day and demand, and we cannot guarantee that an interpreter will be available for every request or that every call will connect without interruption.

7. Fees

Fees for the Services are set in your organization’s agreement or quote with InterpreCourt. The App is free to download. Individual users are not charged for using the App.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. Interpreters keep session content confidential.

9. Ownership

The Services, including our name, logos, website content and the App, are owned by InterpreCourt or its licensors and are protected by law. We give you a limited, non-transferable right to use them only as these Terms allow. The App is built and published by our technology provider and is licensed, not sold.

10. App stores

If you download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you must also follow their terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the App or its support. If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, except where these Terms say otherwise.

11. Disclaimers

We work hard to provide accurate, professional and reliable Services. Except as stated in your organization’s agreement, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” and we disclaim all implied warranties to the extent the law allows.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, InterpreCourt is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount your organization paid us for the Services in the three months before the claim, unless your organization’s agreement says otherwise.

13. Ending access

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are broken, if your organization’s account ends, or to protect the Services or other users.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Adams County, Colorado, unless your organization’s agreement says otherwise.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
